This site seeks to offer as detailed a guide as possible but if you have any queries, we would encourage you to contact us to discuss your project and to consider your potential eligibility.
RSA is available to limited companies, sole traders or partnerships. In order to qualify for RSA, your project must meet all of the criteria listed below. You can access detailed guidance on eligibility by clicking on each link.
Must take place in an Assisted Area
Must directly create or safeguard jobs within your business
Must not be simply offset by job losses elsewhere in the Assisted Areas
Must involve an element of capital investment
Must, along with your underlying business, be financially viable
Must be mainly funded from the private sector
Must need RSA to enable it to proceed
RSA will not be offered where the business is already committed to undertaking the project or where we believe it would proceed anyway.
A few activities may be subject to special EC restrictions on aid and we can also advise you on this when you contact us.
If your project is not eligible for RSA, you should contact your Business Gateway or Scottish Enterprise who may be able to offer other business support.
