Are you a publisher in Singapore? Get a grant of up to S$10,000 per title to publish literary works by local writers.
For who?
- Singapore publishers that have:
- 75% – 100% local shareholding
- book publishing as its primary activity
- published at least 4 local works before
- effective national distribution network
- published books available for sale commercially
- good track record with writers and translators
For what?
- To raise the profile of local writers (Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents) by providing grants to local publishers who publish and distribute their literary works.
- The literary work must fall into one of the following genres:
- fiction
- literary non-fiction
- literary criticism or critical prose on literary arts
- poetry
- plays
- anthologies of Singaporean literature

How much?
- Up to S$10,000 per title subject to a maximum of 6 titles a year per publisher.
- More funding may be considered if you have a good marketing and promotion plan.
Things to note
- You must acknowledge the National Arts Council (NAC) in the publication and all publicity materials.
- Applications are accepted 3 times a year. The closing dates are:
- 15 January
- 15 May
- 15 September
- Do not print or launch your publication until after your application has been approved/rejected.
- You cannot apply for this grant if the book title is already funded under the Publishing Grant (Writers).
