A grant for Singapore and Malaysia companies to collaborate in feasibility studies and joint missions to third countries.
For who?
- Singapore-registered companies to team up with Malaysia-registered companies
- The Singaporean company must have at least 30% of its shares owned by Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents.
- The Malaysian company must have at least 51% of its shares owned by Malaysians.
- Business associations and groups of companies involved in organising joint missions may also apply, provided the Singapore and Malaysia companies meet the above criteria.
For what?
- To encourage Singapore and Malaysia companies to collaborate on feasibility studies and/or joint missions in any other country except Singapore or Malaysia
- The feasibility studies or joint missions can be for one of these sectors:
- manufacturing
- tourism
- infrastructure development
- construction
- information technology
- trading
- services
How much?
MSBF will fund up to 50% of eligible expenses for:
- Feasibility Studies
- Due Diligence Studies (Target-specific) - You can get up to RM200,000 to investigate the business viability of a specific project.
- Pro-active Searches (Market-specific) - You can get up to RM100,000 to conduct a general search for potential investments or business opportunities in a specific market.
- Joint Missions
- You can get up to RM200,000 to participate in approved Joint Missions.
Things to note:
- Eligible expenses include:
- travel, accommodation and allowance (for feasibility studies and joint missions)
- fees for patent and information searches and consultant fees (for feasibility studies)
- common costs such as logistics, publicity and networking, and mission gifts (for joint missions)
- The validity of the fund support shall not exceed 6 months.
